Yesterday the 31st of January I hosted my first demonstration masterclass in the Pillo Hotel in Ashbourne.
Forty guests were treats to almost 3 hours of me chatting about my experiences as a make up artist and my favourite brands. During this time I executed two different make up looks. The first one which I would call “my signature” look and the second was something a bit more technical a “disconnected liner”.
My signature look would be one of my most requested looks by clients and I model it based on the similar characteristics to Rosanna Davison’s Wedding look. (Which I created back in 2014)
Some tips on how to keep it on especially for a wedding or event.
- Picking the right shades.
- Preference on products for contour.
- Product placement and the importance of good brushes.
I had my beautiful blonde model Lianne to create this look on.
A disconnected liner is something more technical for an artist to achieve.
For this look I started with the eyes as a lot of black eyeshadow is used.
I also applied a gold glitter so to prevent a lot of work cleaning off foundation we did the skin last.
I contoured with creams this time instead of powders. I finished with a matte lip, a very trend based, more dramatic look for the second look.
