On Friday the 11th of December I was invited down to McGuire’s Pharmacy in Listowel http://mcguirespharmacy.com/ for a personal appearance and make up demonstration to re-launch their beauty hall. A beauty hall it was, this fabulous pharmacy is huge and is filled with every popular brand you could dream of.
From designer fragrances, (they had my personal favourite Chanel-Coco Mademoiselle ) Sleek make up, L’oreal, Real Techniques, The Body Shop, Cailyn Cosmetics, Smash box and a personal favourite Blank Canvas Click Here to name but a few.
I found myself two beautiful models Elaine & Laura and created two Christmas party looks. On Elaine I used the new Masterpiece palette by Blank Canvas, L’oreal Blakes Red lipstick and Sleek Makeup’s contour palette in Medium Shop Here. I am delighted to say we completely sold out of the contour palettes (and I luckily got one for myself)
On the lovely Laura I buffed on Cailyn Cosmetics BB foundation with the WOW brush in shade Nude. A beautiful product I’ve started to use myself recently in the shade Nutmeg or Amber(if I’ve my false tan on)! Everyone compliments my skin when I have it on. It’s Mineral based so hydrating and skin brightening all in one!
To create a smokey eye on Laura I used Blank Canvas’s Pippa Palette I pressed on K.D on the outter corners of the eye this is the matte black shade. I used a sleek glitter eye liner as a shadow and pressed it onto the eye lid. I then used a sleek lip pencil in Raisin topped with Exxxagerate lipstick also by Sleek which is an electric purple shade. A different twist on a glamorous Christmas party look.
Thank you to the lovely staff of John McGuire’s pharmacy for making me feel so welcome, it was a pleasure to work with you all. Happy Christmas.
